Skoda began testing electric vehiclesApril 12, 2019
The Czech company is intensively preparing for the start of mass production of electric vehicles.
Skoda has launched large-scale test tests of the Citigo electric car. Tests will be conducted in “combat” conditions. To do this, Skoda has provided ten cars to partners and government organizations. The tested cars will be equipped with special sensors. which will transmit information about the dynamics of the car and the climate in the cabin, as well as possible malfunctions. The company will also collect feedback and suggestions from people who exploit the new product.
Serial production of the electric version of the Skoda Citigo will begin in late 2019. And over the next four years, the automaker is about to enter the electric age.
By the end of 2022, Skoda is going to present 10 models that will fully or partially run on electricity. The Czech brand is planning to invest 2 billion euros in this program. For the development of this direction, all the salons of official Skoda dealers in the Czech Republic will be equipped with electric charging stations.
