The novelty will use the same design language as the Vision RS presented at the Paris Motor Show. The car will be built on the platform A0 MQB. This chassis is already at the heart of a range of compact and mid-size cars from the new Volkswagen Polo to the Skoda Kodiaq crossover. All other information about the future model is kept secret.
According to unofficial data, the new 1.5-liter petrol turbo engines will be included in the line of units, which, depending on the modification, develop from 125 to 150 horsepower. The engines will work with a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed automatic with double clutch. It is expected that the overall dimensions of the new will be more than the current Rapid.
The length of the concept car Vision RS is 4356 mm. This is 50 mm more than the current Rapid. The volume of the luggage compartment is 440 liters. The size of the wheelbase is 2.6 meters. Distinctive features of the concept car are low-set headlights, a large roof spoiler, rear diffuser and streamlined wheel arches. Also, the car received a digital dashboard and a large touch screen.
