Such miniature roadsters were once produced by the Australian company Buckle Motors. Unusual car then sold a very limited edition.
An unusual lot appeared on the Australian online auction “Lloyds Online” – the Dart micromobile, created on the chassis of the colorful German sitikar Goggomobil, which was produced for almost ten years. Production of tiny roadsters established a local company “Buckle Motors”. In total, 700 such micro mobiles left the assembly line. Auto 1960, put up for auction, managed to “run” 31,600 kilometers. As a bonus, the new owner of the bright scarlet Dart will receive the original documentation and instruction manual.
In the movement of the microcar leads two-cylinder 300-cc engine, combined with a four-speed manual.
The car has no roof, radio and climate control. But there is a speedometer and doors. The last detail, by the way, was a great success – in the basic configuration the doors for such an Australian microcar were not relied. The manufacturer chose lightweight plexiglass as the material for the body, hence a modest curb weight of only 345 kilograms. It is known that the bidding will end in a few days.
