Shown Renault Duster off-road with a 400-horsepower engineDecember 24, 2020
The German tuning company Prior Design has unveiled an extreme off-road Dacia Duster, which is actually the European equivalent of the Renault-branded model.
The Duster 4×4 Offroad Widebody kit will be available for purchase next year. The modified model has a reinforced suspension, as well as an increased ground clearance by 2 cm and overall BFGoodrich wheels with mud tires.
Extreme cross has a power front bumper, widened side skirts and wheel arches, and protective covers on the rear lights. On the front, it is worth noting the presence of additional LED strips. In the cabin, in turn, a safety cage appeared, and on the roof the tuners installed an expeditionary luggage carrier for transporting things necessary for travel.
There are no details about the engine of the upgraded car. At the same time, it is already known that the cross will receive a motor with a capacity of about 400 hp. Whether this will turn out to be a new engine or the tuners will try to achieve this figure by modifying the existing units, is not reported at the moment.
The timing of the Duster 4×4 Offroad Widebody project in hardware is currently unknown, but the exterior tuning components shown in the illustrations should be available in Europe next year.
In addition, some time ago it was noted that Land Rover will take part in Dakar again. True, this time the British manufacturer decided to limit itself to technical support for the new Bahrain Raid Xtreme (BRX) team, which will be provided with a couple of new Defender 110s.
