Extreme sports hypercar Koenigsegg Gemera should debut after the equally cool two-seater Koenigsegg Jesko

The Chinese edition autohome.com has spread information about the plans of the Swedish brand Koenigsegg. According to the publication, the debut of the four-seater Gemera will take place in 2023.

However, the manufacturer will now focus on the Jesko hypercars, which are scheduled for delivery in the spring of 2022. It is possible that the production version of this car will be able to break several world speed records, thereby becoming the killer of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+.

But back to the Gemera plug-in hybrid, which will be the first four-seater in the new Mega GT class, capable of both everyday tasks like shopping trips and battling the iconic hypercars on the track.

At the same time, one of the features of the car can be called huge doors that open like on some Lamborghini models.

However, the main feature of the model will be a unique hybrid system with Qamfree technology, which was developed jointly with the Chinese company Qoros. At the center of the power plant is a 2-liter twin-turbo TFG three-cylinder engine capable of delivering a whopping 600 horsepower (601 Nm). At the same time, according to the manufacturer, even without turbocharging, this monster is able to show about 300 hp. Together with him work three electric motors, together with which the peak output is 1723 hp and 3500 Nm of torque.

With such a power plant, the hypercar can accelerate to 100 km / h in 1.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 400 kilometers per hour. Separately, it should be said about the power reserve. Thanks to the 16.6 kWh battery, Gemera will be able to cover 50 kilometers on a single charge in pure electric mode, but in the combined, this figure will skyrocket to 1,000 km.
