Serial KIA XCeed finally lost camouflageMay 25, 2019
The car without the ubiquitous protective film was able to photograph during one of the final road tests.
KIA brought the off-road version of its popular Ceed hatchback to the final tests. The novelty, whose presentation they promise to hold this summer, received the letter “X” in the title – KIA XCeed. Recently, a photo of a future debutant without any camouflage appeared on the web. The Thekoreancarblog car portal shared with rare shots: the photo spies “snatched” the novelty from the dense traffic flow on one of the Korean roads. Judging from the published photos, the serial cross-hatch XCeed will be completely different from the classic version of the well-known KIA model.
The car received an original grille with a different geometry, stylish head optics in the spirit of the new Ceed, new bumpers, a large rear spoiler, a new glazing line, a plastic protective body kit and expressive wheel arch extensions, as well as a catchy diffuser with two exhaust pipes.
For the improved off-road performance of the new product, the “grown up” ground clearance is responsible. Experts predict that as a power unit, customers will be offered a 1.4-liter 140-horsepower turbo engine or a 1.6-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 204 hp. Diesel XCeed will be available for purchase – with a 1.6-liter diesel engine under the hood with a capacity of 115 or 136 hp. But the four-wheel drive model is still not fit. The cost of new items is still kept secret.
