Segway and GM are developing a new two-seater electric car, which is now called innovative. It is known that the novelty under the name P.U.M.A. will be based on the technologies of modern electric scooters. An environmentally friendly novelty will acquire a platform on which a miniature cabin will be placed. Recall that this joint project of the two companies started talking a few years ago.
A new electric car will move on two wheels. This, according to the developers, is quite enough for convenient maneuvering in the city. General Motors is confident that their joint project with Segway will have a positive impact on the environment in major cities. A compact electric car will appeal to those who care about the environment and do not favor cars with traditional engines.
Conceptual version of P.U.M.A. moves around the city with two passengers in the cabin at a maximum speed of 55 km / h. For the range of the mini electric car meets the lithium-ion battery, whose capacity is enough for 55 kilometers. It will be possible to recharge such an electric car in 20-30 minutes. There is no information on the prices of the new product, as well as the date of its presentation. Technical details are kept secret.
The P.U.M.A market debut is likely to take place only in 2022 – 2023.
