Seen MG X-Motion crossover prototypeJanuary 15, 2019
The revived British brand MG is currently testing its new X-Motion crossover. The new model is expected to reach Europe. Prior to this, sales of new items are planning to start in China – it will happen before the end of 2019.
At the Beijing Auto Show in 2018, the MG brand introduced the concept of the X-Motion crossover. We were presented with a flagship sports car. Now the prototype of the novelty is seen on trial.
Foreign journalists were able to be at the right time and place – as a result, they were able to capture two MG X-Motion prototypes. It is reported that the tests took place somewhere in Scandinavia, and the car had British registration numbers. Our colleagues could even learn that both test samples were in the RHD package.
While both cars still cover the entire body, the one with the yellow front panel seems a bit closer to the final look of the British crossover.
Look, they have a different design of the rear bumper diffuser, and one of them has two tailpipes for the exhaust system. Their front and rear lights seem to have already received their fully serial look.
It is reported that under the hood of the MG X-Motion will be a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with turbocharging. This power unit is used in the Chinese crossover Roewe RX8. Its maximum power is equal to 221 horsepower, and the 8-speed automatic transmission acts as a transmission. In the case of the British crossover, all the torque will flow to the front axle, and four-wheel drive will be available as an additional option.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Geely showed an updated version of the cross-hatch Emgrand.
