See how the Dodge Demon accelerates to a speed of 339.57 km / hApril 3, 2019
Using 100-octane fuel, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was able to accelerate to a speed of 339.9 km / h. The length of the test site is 5 km.
Despite the fact that the American Dodge Challenger in the most powerful performance of the SRT Demon was mainly designed for time trials on a straight and short stretch of road, it can reach very high speed if the road section is long enough. In this case, its results can be compared with the performance of some hypercars.
Enthusiasts decided to try the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and find out what this car is really capable of. Having selected the Johnny Bomer test site in Florida, where there is a concrete runway almost 5 km long, the guys started the test.
Dodge engineers electronically limit the maximum speed of the Demon Coupe to 270 km / h, but the owners of this car can easily get rid of the limiter by installing an additional “package”. Using 100-octane fuel, the engine can develop 840 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful production cars ever made.
At the same test site, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon managed to achieve an impressive 326.6 km / h – this was in February 2018. Under the hood of the car was a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, the torque of which was equal to 1044 Nm.
This time, the American road monster managed to reach a top speed of 339.933 km / h. This result corresponds to high-end cars such as the McLaren Senna, Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, as well as the Ferrari 488 Pista and 812 Superfast.
