See how the BMW M5 CS drives at maximum speed on the highwayJune 18, 2021
A video has appeared on the YouTube channel AutoTopNL, which shows how the most powerful sedan BMW M5 CS drives at maximum speed on the German autobahn. It was able to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than three seconds.
Let’s face it – in a medium-sized sedan, no one needs 626 horsepower. Even the entry-level 520i with about three and a half times less power (181 hp) has more than adequate performance for a large number of owners of such cars. The car can accelerate to 100 km / h in 7.9 seconds. In addition, if we look at prices in Germany, it will be about one and a half times cheaper than the “charged” M5 CS.
The super-sedan offers the acceleration levels we usually associate with hypercars, even though it weighs 1,825 kg.
YouTube channel AutoTopNL took the most powerful BMW M car to an unlimited speed section of the German autobahn to experience its stunning acceleration provided by the highest performance of the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
The numbers really speak for themselves, as the M5 CS accelerates to 100 km / h from a standstill in 2.98 seconds, which is almost identical to the manufacturer’s statement of three seconds. Perhaps even more impressive is the acceleration to 200 km / h, given that the high-performance sedan did it in 9.67 seconds or about 0.6 seconds faster than BMW claims.
With launch control on (launch control), the best Bavarian sedan covered 402 meters in 10.64 seconds. The V8 engine tested its strength in the second high-speed race when the M5 CS effortlessly approached its electronically controlled top speed of 305 km / h.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the concept of the BMW 7 Series 2023 will be presented at the September Motor Show in Munich. It is expected that the novelty will cause a real sensation at the main motor show in Germany.
