High-performance version of the Bavarian BMW 5-Series sedan from the company Alpina boasts a 600-horsepower engine. Worth an upgraded version of the car 149 939 dollars
German tuning company Alpina, which specializes in creating more powerful versions of models of the BMW brand, presented its latest novelty. The car, which is positioned as a more convenient and powerful alternative to the “charged” M5 sedan, was named Alpina B5.
The warmed up version of the M550i xDrive with its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine was taken as the basis, which now produces an additional 146 hp. and 150 Nm of torque.
Thus, the total power is 608 hp, and the maximum torque is 800 Nm. I note that a full-fledged version of the BMW M car boasts 600 hp power and 750 Nm of torque.
Due to the additional dynamics of the B5 tuning workshop Alpina accelerates to a speed of 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds. Acceleration of 0-200 km / h is completed in 11.4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 330 km / h. As for the regular M5, it accelerates to 100 km / h in 0.1 seconds slower, and with the M Driver Package, the maximum speed is “only” 305 km / h.
Buying Alpina B5 gives you not only increased power, but also a customized chassis, which, according to the assurances of the guys from the atelier, makes the daily trip more comfortable. According to journalists from the publication DriveAustralia, while the standard M5 from BMW feels like home on the highway, the car version from Alpina is an even more comfortable version of the model.
