Second-generation Renault Duster expands salesFebruary 6, 2020
The automaker showed the first photos of a compact crossover designed for motorists in South America.
The second generation of the Renault Duster crossover was presented back in 2017, however, to date, these compact SUVs are available only in Romania. In the European market, the model is known under the Dacia brand, and under the Renault brand – in the markets of Africa, the Middle East and Ukraine. Now, another regional market will appear in this list – South America. The crossover for this region is in many ways similar to the Duster that the Europeans offered. The photo shows a cross with additional spotlights in the bumper. This element, most likely, will be available for the “older” configuration SUV.
The interior of the South American Duster also has much in common with the Romanian version. Of the differences – multimedia with a large screen.
The production of the second generation Renault Duster for South American buyers will engage in the Brazilian factory Renault, which produces the Duster 1st generation. Officially, the Renault Duster lineup for South America has not yet been announced. However, local media managed to find out that at first Duster will be equipped with a single 1.6-liter “aspirated”, combined with a manual transmission or CVT. Local motorists should not wait for a two-liter engine, it will be replaced by a 1.3-liter turbo engine.
