This model will be the first plug-in hybrid in the history of the Spanish brand. The total return of the new power plant will be 245 hp.

Seat announced a hybrid version of the Tarraco flagship crossover with the ability to recharge batteries from the mains. Such a cross, whose public premiere will be held at the September Frankfurt Motor Show, will be the first plug-in hybrid in the brand’s history. It is also the first hybrid SUV among all Volkswagen brands not related to the premium segment. It is known that the Seat Tarraco PHEV will be equipped with a power plant based on a 150-horsepower 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine. As a pair for him, they chose a 116-horsepower electric motor, powered by a set of lithium-ion batteries of 13 kWh. The total return of such a hybrid will be 245 hp. Something similar, by the way, we see in the updated Volkswagen Passat GTE.

From 0 to 100 km / h, such a hybrid car accelerates in just 7.4 seconds, and its maximum speed is 217 km / h. With electricity alone, the Seat Tarraco PHEV can cover distances of up to 50 kilometers.

The hybrid version of the Tarraco receives front seats with electric and memory functions, as well as new generation multimedia with a 9.2-inch touchscreen and navigator. On sale, the novelty will appear in the first half of next year.

Recall, it became known earlier that the Volkswagen ID.3 will be shown at the Frankfurt motor show. But on sale an electric novelty will appear in early 2020.
