Seat showed seven-flagship crossover on videoSeptember 4, 2018
Seat published a video, which shows camouflaged prototype of the new flagship model of the Spanish brand – the seven-seat crossover Tarraco. The official premiere of the car will be made on September 18 in the Spanish Tarragona.
According to the developers, the all-wheel drive crossover is designed in such a way that it can easily overcome obstacles with a slope of 70 degrees and cope with transverse slopes of up to 85 degrees.
Seat Tarraco will receive a new safety function for Rollover Assist: if the electronics fixes a real threat of overturning the car, it will automatically unlock the doors, turn off the engine and make a call to emergency services. Finally, the list of options for the crossover will be an adaptive suspension.
The all-terrain vehicle will be built on the modular architecture of MQB, which already underlies Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. According to preliminary data, the engine line will include gasoline inflatable units with a displacement of 1.4 and 2.0 liters, and two-liter diesel engines of varying degrees of forcing. Cars will be offered with both front and all-wheel drive.
Exterior of the flagship crossover Seat will perform in the style of “younger” models of the Spanish company – Ateca and Arona. At the same time, as expected, the model will receive a completely different interior, and as an option will be available fully digital instrument panel.
