Seat introduced the production version of El-BornoDecember 14, 2019
The car is similar to Volkswagen ID.3, because it is built on the same platform. The Spanish automaker introduced el-Born at the Geneva Motor Show, and now the company has obviously shown us the production model.
Seat Sweden published a video in which el-Born appears briefly, showing off its multimedia system. Even though the body is partially hidden, you can notice the differences between the car and the demonstration prototype. Futuristic headlights were replaced by more traditional and familiar ones, equipped with built-in LED DRLs. The radiator grill remains the same, but the front bumper is slightly different from the previous instance due to the large air intakes.
The rest of the exterior design remains the same as the concept car, with the exception of the revised side skirts and other wheels.
The automaker, during the presentation of the car in Geneva, said that the battery capacity of El-Borno is 62 kWh. The battery drives an electric motor, developing a capacity of 201 horsepower. Thanks to this, the car is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds, and the cruising range is 420 km.
While there is no information regarding the motor line – whether other power plants will be presented for choice, however, this cannot be denied, since ID.3 will have batteries of 45, 58 and 77 kWh. The first will allow the electric car to travel up to 330 km, and the latter – up to 550 km.
It is expected that the debut of the new items will take place next year. Closer to the presentation of the production version of the model, we will learn technical details about the electric car.
