Seat brought three new electric vehicles to BarcelonaMay 13, 2019
The Spanish brand has organized a joint debut of its new products at the International Motor Show in Barcelona. These are the El-Born, Minimo and Cupra E-Racer models. The first, by the way, got the same modular platform as the Volkswagen ID.3.
Spanish automaker Seat, recently actively involved in electrification of its model line, presented three electric concept cars in Barcelona at once – El-Born, Minimo and Cupra e-Racer, according to carscoops. The first, with the light hand of local journalists, is called the Spanish “cousin” of the electric Volkswagen ID.3 hatchback. The electric car, shown in Barcelona, is based on the modular MEB platform, which was used in the development of the Volkswagen ID.3.
On one charge, the El-Born can travel up to 420 kilometers, and a 62-kWh battery and a 200-hp electric motor are responsible for its performance. This concept will be released in the series next year.
Electric double sitikar Minimo can become a serious competitor for Renault Twizy. The dimensions of this concept car are small: its length is only 2.5 meters, and its width is 1.24 meters. The power reserve, according to the developers, is about a hundred kilometers. Serial Minimo, we will see no earlier than 2021-th.
The third debutant is the Cupra e-Racer racing electric car, capable of accelerating to a hundred in just 3.2 seconds. Under the hood of such a car there is a 680-strong electric motor. Serial version of the promise to show next year.
