Seat announced the official presentation of the Ateca 2021 crossoverJune 8, 2020
The press service of the automaker announced that the official presentation of the updated Ateca crossover will take place in a couple of days.
The compact crossover, based on the MQB modular platform from the German Volkswagen Group, which includes Seat, and is closely associated with the second generation VW Tiguan, Skoda Karoq and Audi Q3, will be officially unveiled next Monday, June 15, at 4:00 Eastern time.
The carmaker’s press service published a teaser video that shows the rear of the car, with thinner taillights, dynamic turn signals and a modified “Ateca” sign (with a new font) located under the license plate. The diffuser has also been updated and has a more “clean” appearance, while “spy” photos showed that the updated Ateca will receive a modified front bumper, an enlarged grille and new headlights.
Expect some changes in the cabin – new design materials, an updated version of the infotainment system. It is believed that driver assistance systems have also been updated. Not so long ago, Seat announced an increase in safety and comfort in the updated crossover.
The last part is connected with the updated line of internal combustion engines, which are now more economical and have received additional power. Soft hybrids and possibly a plug-in hybrid electric powerplant can also be offered to customers, although Seat hasn’t said anything about it yet. Meanwhile, the suspension could be retuned to improve driving comfort.
The compact crossover 2018-2019 Seat Ateca will continue to fight for the buyer with similar crossovers – Nissan Qashqai, Honda CR-V, Toyota C-HR and Ford Kuga.
