Scientists named songs that are dangerous to listen to while drivingSeptember 18, 2019
To find out which musical compositions are not worth listening to while driving, Chinese experts watched the psychological state of thousands of drivers who listened to music from different directions while driving.
The driver’s musical preferences can influence his driving behavior and driving style. This conclusion was made by scientists from the South China University of Technology (PRC). They tested their hypothesis for a year and managed to determine the most “dangerous-dangerous” songs. So, according to the conclusions of Chinese experts, you should not listen to hard rock on the road. Under the influence of such loud and energetic musical rhythms, motorists tend to drive aggressively, dangerously changing lanes to lanes and violating the speed limit.
The experts included the songs “American Idiot” by Green Day, “Party In The USA” by Miley Cyrus and “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen on the list of songs unsuitable for driving.
Among the innocuous compositions, the Chinese called “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin and “Under the Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Driving a car in silence is also not an option: many participants in the experiment noted that silence in the cabin annoyed them. Scientists monitored the psychological state of thousands of drivers who listened to various music on the road from pop songs to rock. Volunteers were offered to experience a special car simulator, including 96 of the most famous songs from the Spotify portal.
