The Scania 770S truck was equipped with a 770-horsepower V8.
The Swedish company presented the flagship modification of the Scania 770S truck, which received an upgraded 16.3-liter diesel V8 DC16 series with 770 horsepower.
Thus, the new product was able to claim the title of the most powerful serial mainline tractor in the world. Note that earlier this title belonged to the Volvo FH16 truck with a 750-horsepower engine.
The uprated V8 DC16 series received more than 70 new parts as part of the upgrade. The power unit meets the requirements of Euro-6, as well as strict European eco-standards for 7 years or 700 thousand kilometers.
In addition to the modernized engine, the Swedish company also presented a new generation of its automated transmissions from the Opticruise line. It is a 12-speed G33CM gearbox with a lightweight aluminum body. Initially, the transmission will be paired with an updated diesel engine with a capacity of up to 660 hp, as well as a 13.0-liter inline engine with 500 and 540 hp.
