Sales of the updated Toyota RAV4 crossover will start in OctoberJune 4, 2019
The long-awaited new product will be offered with a gasoline 2.0-liter engine, as well as a hybrid powertrain, which is based on a 2.5-liter gasoline engine.
A couple of days ago, the Japanese automaker published a document, according to which, the start of sales of the new (fifth) generation of the compact Toyota RAV4 crossover in the Chinese market is scheduled for this autumn.
As you know, the popular crossover is based on the global TNGA platform. The appearance has much in common with the exterior of the new RAV4 for automotive markets in Europe. I note that for many countries, the Japanese crossover is offered in three different versions – sports, more luxurious and off-road.
According to representatives of the automaker, the interior of the updated crossover has become more functional and has received the so-called “soaring” screen of the multimedia system.
Note that the new generation of compact Toyota RAV4 debuted in March 2018 at the New York Auto Show.
The car will be equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine, designed for 170 hp. Buyers will also be able to purchase a hybrid version of the new Toyota RAV4. In this case, it was based on a 2.5-liter petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 218 “horses”. The transmission will be offered a 6-speed automatic transmission, as well as a stepless variator. A new generation of compact crossover will receive either front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.
