Dacia Spring goes into production.
Dacia has announced that the brand’s first electric car, and at the same time the most affordable all-electric car in Europe, has entered production. Sales of new items will begin in the first quarter of 2021. It is assumed that the model will be used as a low-cost city car, car for car sharing services or a commercial van.
The Dacia Spring is powered by a 44-horsepower electric motor powered by a 26.8 kWh battery. The range of the electric car is approximately 225 kilometers, while the maximum speed is limited to around 100 km / h. In length, the novelty is 35 cm shorter than the previously presented hatchback Dacia Sandero.
According to the manufacturer, Dacia Spring is able to accommodate four adults, while the luggage compartment volume is 300 liters. With the rear seats folded down, the boot volume increases to 600 liters. The front rack has a volume of 23 liters. The cost of the car is not yet known, but Dacia claims the Spring will be the cheapest car ownership on the market.
