The new car Cupra Leon will compete with such segment mastodons as the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf GTE.
In the near future, a new “charged” hatchback Cupra Leon will enter the European market. The novelty is built on the same platform with the Volkswagen Golf GTI and is equipped with a progressive steering system, adaptive dampers, powerful brakes and an electronic differential lock.
The motor range of Cupra Leon is represented by three power plants. The first will be a hybrid based on a 1.4-liter turbo engine with a total output of 242 hp. and 370 Nm of torque. Next comes the version with a 2-liter turbo engine with 242 and 296 hp. These models are equipped with front-wheel drive. The most powerful will be a hybrid based on a 2-liter turbo engine with a total capacity of 306 hp. This car is offered only with four-wheel drive. All of the above options are equipped with a non-alternative DSG robotized gearbox.
The interior offers sports seats, a ride mode selection system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch multimedia screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The car can travel on one electric traction up to 60 kilometers, and it takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge the battery from the household network.
