Sales of some auto companies in the United States fell by 50%May 2, 2020

April sales of leading manufacturers in the US car market showed a 50 percent drop. Such statistics are shared by the foreign portal Carscoops. We can judge the state of affairs in America by the results of sales of five automobile brands that have not stopped making monthly reports. So, for example, the Japanese company Mazda last month sold 10,940 new cars in the American car market, which indicates a decline in demand by 44.5%. But sales of certified cars with mileage of this brand “sank” by 53.8%.
Among the brand’s models, sales of the Mazda6 sedan decreased most significantly – by 68.1%.
Subaru also announced negative dynamics – 47% minus. Sales of BRZ models fell by more than 63%, Impreza – by 61.5%, Legacy – by 54.6%. The Korean Hyundai has a “more modest” minus – 39%. For the reporting month, the Americans purchased 33,968 cars of this brand. KIA is showing a 38 percent drop in demand, but Genesis premium brand sales have halved right away. It is noted that the real numbers were better than those that analysts indicated in their forecasts.
