Sales of new Mitsubishi eK Space and eK Cross Space key cars launchedJanuary 21, 2020
Mitsubishi dealerships in Japan began accepting orders for new key cars.
Japanese motorists will be able to place an order for the new Mitsubishi eK Space and eK Cross Space key cars. The models are produced by a joint venture between Nissan and Mitsubishi. New items are called sister models eK Wagon and eK X (Cross), whose public premiere took place last spring. Kei cars are very popular in Japan, but few people know about them outside of this country. The length of such machines, as a rule, does not exceed 3.4 meters, and the demand for them for many years spurred tax and other benefits.
It is known that the new Mitsubishi eK Space and eK Cross Space will receive a 0.66-liter 3-cylinder engine, which in its “atmospheric” version demonstrates a power of 52 hp, and in a turbocharged one – 64 hp
Hybrid modifications with a 40-horsepower electric engine (plus the main power) will be available for purchase.
Regardless of the version of the key-car, the CVT receives a transmission. The arsenal of Mitsubishi eK Space and eK Cross includes a system of assistance during the descent from the mountain, as well as an e-Assist security system that monitors distance and road markings. For eK Space, the manufacturer prepared nine stylish body shades at once, while eK Cross Space has a more diverse color palette – 13 shades. The first deliveries of cars in Japan are waiting for this spring.
