Sales of charged sedan Cadillac CT6-V postponedSeptember 5, 2019
The American company announced that the start of sales of the Cadillac CT6 sedan in the high-performance V-version is postponed indefinitely. The cause was the stricter emission standards.
Customers of the American brand who have already filled out an application for the purchase of a high-performance Cadillac CT6-V sedan are very much waiting for the model to begin selling, but they will not have to wait much longer. Some editions say that the supply of finished machines was delayed due to the fact that their engines did not comply with the existing standards for emissions of harmful substances – recently these standards have become more stringent. The extent or nature of the emissions problem has not yet been reported.
However, whatever the problem, the automaker assures that it has already solved the problem and says that the start of sales should begin in the very near future.
Under the hood, the CT6-V has a 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine called the Blackwing. Its power is 550 hp. (850 Nm), while all the torque is transmitted to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Other advantages of the machine are Brembo brakes, magnetic suspension and limited slip differential.
It is possible that the charged CT6-V will be the latest version for a luxury sedan, the fact is that now there are a huge number of rumors that the brand leadership may still refuse to further manufacture this car. But for now, the assembly of the model will continue until January 2020, and then we’ll see.
