Sales of a cheap analogue of the Hyundai Kona crossover started in ChinaNovember 5, 2019
Hyundai Corporation announced the start of sales of a new version of the Encino crossover. The model is a cheap version of the Hyundai Kona.
It should be noted that until recently, the Encino model was available only with a gasoline 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 177 horsepower, with which a seven-band dual-clutch robotic gearbox worked. Auto has an exclusively front-wheel drive system.
Now there is a completely electric variation called Encino EV, which has an electric motor with a return of 204 hp. (310 Nm). On a single charge, the cross can travel up to 500 kilometers.
The difference between the new product and the usual crossover is that it received a plug instead of a radiator grille, modified optics, a hatch with a connector for connecting to a charging station. Of course, the electric version lost its exhaust pipes. Also, the electric modification, instead of the gear lever, got a block of buttons.
Already as standard, the crossover is equipped with seven “airbags”, a stabilization system, climate control, a multimedia system with a “soaring” touch screen, an electronic “handbrake”, an assistant at the start and rise, a multi-wheel with leather upholstery.
The flagship variation of the model has an intelligent cruise control, a collision avoidance system and an assistant that ensures that the car is kept in the lane. In addition, the top-end version was equipped with circular video cameras, contactless charging for smartphones, and a projection screen.
The electric crossover can already be purchased at the brand’s dealerships in China. The cost of the new model ranges from 172,800 – 198,800 yuan
In addition, Hyundai previously demonstrated the “killer” Honda Civic Type R. This car was prepared for the SEMA automobile exhibition.
