Saleen S7 is a cool supercar, which everyone has forgotten, but in vain …April 1, 2019
Despite the fact that the Saleen S7 supercar was introduced almost ten years ago, it can still offer excellent performance and a rather stylish appearance.
The first thing you need to know about the S7 is that it was not built by a recognized manufacturer of supercars, but is developed by Saleen Automotive, the studio most known for its tuning of the American Ford Mustang. Not only was the S7 built by the company without much experience in building such cars, it was also the third middle class supercar ever made in the United States after Vector W8 and M12.
In the standard version, the S7 was equipped with a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 with a capacity of 550 hp, which was connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels.
In most cases, hypercars today have more than 1000 hp. power. Despite this, the Saleen S7 is still exceptionally fast, as it can accelerate to 100 km / h in about 3.3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 354 km / h.
The Saleen brand decided to make the S7 even more crazy – in 2005, a more powerful performance with a Twin Turbo engine was presented. As the name suggests, this version of the car received a 7.0-liter V8 S7, equipped with a pair of turbochargers, increasing power to 750 hp. and providing a top speed of 399 km / h.
As one would expect from any supercar from a small company, the S7 received many strange functions. Throughout the body is 50 holes, gills, and the pedals in the cabin on the reviews are very uncomfortable – extremely small and offset to the side.
