The American firm used Ford F-150 as a donor, on the basis of which it built its project Saleen Sportruck XR. The program of tuning from the studio was disclosed in July, but orders for the novelty began to take only now. True, prices are not yet disclosed.

The Sportruck XR pickup is prepared for extreme drive off-road. Specialists Saleen equipped him with coilovers 2.5 inches in front and behind, and for braking, brake discs measuring 35.05 centimeters with double piston calipers in front and one-piston at the back meet. The front perforated discs of 34.54 cm or 35.56 cm with six-piston calipers are optionally available. In addition, the car was equipped with recycled bumpers and an extended bottom protection to enhance protection.

For driving in the dark at the front there is an additional LED lighting unit, and the radiator grille, steps, body, aft panel is further improved. The final stroke of the steel six-spoke wheels, shod in 17-inch tires. In the salon you can see the branded headrests, rugs and white substrates of the instrument dials.

In the standard version, the Sportruck XR is equipped with an “atmospheric”, but in this case we are talking about a compressor version with a return of 700 hp. The technical nuances of the upgrade are not disclosed. A more hardcore version of the Black Label receives transverse suspension levers and Racecraft spindles, Fox dashboards with a 12 inch (30.48 cm) stroke in the front and 14 inches (35.56 cm) from the rear, upgraded rear springs and bumpers. The interior is full leather upholstery.

Note that the Ford F-Series is one of the most popular models in the world, having a huge sales volume. For example, only in the United States market last year 896 764 units were sold. So the potential for the Saleen tuning program is huge.
