SAIC unveils new Baojun RS-7 crossoverNovember 19, 2019
GM Corporation and SAIC are preparing for the debut of the new large crossover minivan Baojun RS-7. The novelty is positioned as a flagship model.
Recently, images and technical specifications appeared on the web portal of the Ministry of Industry of China.
Judging by the photos, the car acquired a familiar corporate design in the style of the new Baojun RS-5. So, she got a dimensional multi-faceted grille, narrow headlights of the head optics and horizontal taillights on LED-matrices.
The 3-row cross-van has a length of 4930 mm, a width of 1975 mm, a height of 1765 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2900 mm. The car has a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 177 hp, with which a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT can function. Four-wheel drive is available at an additional cost.
The car is also equipped with ABS, virtual dashboard, climate control, a multimedia system with a large touch screen, a glass roof. In turn, the interior of the car is trimmed with leather.
Sales of new items should start at the beginning of 2020.
In addition, previously GM and SAIC showed an eight-seat minivan. The car acquired a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 hp.
