Ronaldo will advertise Chinese crossoversMay 11, 2018
One of the best footballers of the planet will popularize the crosses produced under the premium subbrend Great Wall.
The Chinese company Great Wall introduced its brand Wey in 2016, under which it will produce crossovers to the level above the Haval models. In the Chinese market, we already sell crossovers. In addition, the manufacturer intends to sell crosses around the world – the brand is already registered in Europe, the United States and Australia.
Initially, Great Wall was going to start selling Wey in Europe in 2020, and in a year to enter the US market. Probably, it was decided to accelerate. In the autumn of 2017, the Wey models were exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and the day before the contract was signed with the new face of the Wey brand, the star player of the Real Madrid team Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, the manufacturer has not yet reported any dates. At the event, documents were simply signed, hands were shaken and the car was inspected by the player on the camera. We are talking about the Wey VV7 model with a 235-strong two-liter turbo four. Probably, the public signing of the contract with Ronaldo signals the launch of an advertising campaign on the European market.
At the end of April, within the framework of the Beijing Motor Show, a new crossover Wey VV6 was introduced, which took place between VV5 and VV7. At the motor show in China also debuted the concepts of Wey.
Earlier it became known that sales of Wey cars are planned in the Russian market, however, the terms of their appearance are not reported.
