Rolls-Royce Phantom received a fully insulated passenger compartmentSeptember 1, 2018
The British manufacturer presented a new version of the organization of the salon
At the showroom in Chengdu, China, Rolls-Royce demonstrated the concept of an isolated passenger compartment accessible to buyers of the long-wheelbase version of the Phantom sedan. A special feature of the space, called Privacy Suite, was a partition of “smart” glass, and a tray for the exchange of documents and small items with a front-row passenger or driver.
“Smart” or electrochromic glass can change the degree of transparency, visually dividing the driver’s seat and rear passenger compartment. Thanks to the use of modern sound-absorbing materials, the Privacy Suite is completely isolated from the penetration of extraneous noise. To communicate with the driver, the “Phantom” passenger can use the built-in communication system.
In the center of the separation partition Privacy Suite is a tray, the inner space of which is highlighted when you open it. The compartment can be equipped with an entertainment system with two 12-inch displays, which is integrated into the vehicle’s on-board system and equipped with a separate HDMI port. In addition, using the system you can adjust the “star” ceiling and clock.
The new Rolls-Royce Phantom debuted last summer. The car received an adaptive air suspension, a fully-controlled chassis and a 6.75-liter 12-cylinder twin-turbo engine that produces 571 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque.
