Roadster Lamborghini Aventador SVJ will receive a collector’s editionAugust 22, 2019
Lamborghini is preparing a surprise for fans of Aventador: based on the roadster of the most extreme version of SVJ, a company from Sant’Agata-Bolognese will build a special edition of 63 Edition. The premiere of the novelty will take place in the coming days at the Elegance Competition in California.
Details are kept secret. About the “special” SVJ became known from the name booklet inviting you to the Pebble Beach Car Festival. The picture shows the Aventador engine cover engraved with SVJ, and the 63 Edition logo is applied below. Probably, this is a limited edition of the roadster, released in the amount of 63 pieces – by analogy with the SVJ coupe, shown a year ago.
Under the hood of the “ordinary” Aventador SVJ roadster is an atmospheric 6.5-liter V12 rated at 770 horsepower and a torque of 720 Nm. All-wheel drive supercar exchanges the first “hundred” in 2.9 seconds and accelerates to 350 kilometers per hour – similar characteristics are expected for the special series. Given the trend toward universal electrification, the Aventadors of the 63 Edition series may be among the latest non-hybrid Lamborghini with the V12.
Initially, the American show Lamborghini planned to show a 1000-strong hybrid, known under the code name LB48H. However, at the end of June it became known that the debut of the hypercar was postponed to the Frankfurt Motor Show – the first production Lamborghini with an electric motor will be shown on September 10.
