RMK E2 electric bike with unique rear wheelAugust 21, 2019
A motorcycle originally from Finland is currently undergoing final tests, according to the foreign publication MCN. Sales will start early next year.
RMK E2 has a unique rear wheel without a central axis, powered by three cables. This helped the manufacturer reduce weight to a more acceptable 200 kg. The declared power of the bike is up to 67 hp, and the maximum speed is up to 100 miles per hour.
According to a company representative, he is able to overcome 120-150 miles on a single charge, replenishing energy by 80% will take only two hours.
Hubless rear wheel also implies regenerative braking, which helps to charge the battery while riding. The left lever controls the rear brake, and the right – the usual double-disc stopper on the front wheel. The RMK E2 is equipped with a rare modern body and a futuristic digital dashboard with integrated Tesla-style navigation. Dashboard mounted on a false tank.
The cost of an electric bike is £ 24,000, or about $ 29,000, and the manufacturer is currently taking orders for it. The company plans to produce 4,000 copies per year until 2025. What will happen then is still unknown. We will wait for the appearance of the model at the autumn exhibitions.
