Rivian R1T electric pickup truck tested in the desertJune 26, 2020
The American company Rivian Automotive was the first to introduce the premium Rivian R1T pickup. This model became the first representative of the so-called class EAV (Electric Adventure Vehicle) or “electric vehicle for travel.”
In Rivian, they shared a video from the tests of their electric pickup Rivian R1T. A young and promising automaker arranged a test drive for his new product in very difficult conditions, sending it to the desert. A pickup truck not only feels confident on a sandy track in the Arizona desert, but also quite easily climbs on rocks, demonstrating its excellent off-road potential.
All this can be seen in a short video report published on the Rivian YouTube channel. As for the appearance of the electric pickup, the manufacturer, as before, keeps the intrigue without removing camouflage from it. The launch of mass production of the Rivian R1T is scheduled for next year. The electric car will get three batteries with a capacity of 105.0 to 180.0 kWh. Without recharging, the car will be able to drive about 644 kilometers.
For the most affordable option you will have to pay $ 70,500.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen began selling two large pickups in Australia. These are new modifications of the Amarok model with the XL and XXL indices.
