Rivian CEO spoke about the prices of the R1T pickup and R1S SUVJanuary 27, 2020
Rivian cars can be cheaper and can get a wider range of equipment than expected. That’s what the head of the American company said during a special event.
Last weekend, as part of a special event, representatives of the car manufacturer Rivian Automotive held a general demonstration of the all-electric R1T pickup and the three-row R1S SUV. In addition, the CEO of the American company Rivian answered several very burning questions.
So, one of the questions concerned the prices of the above electric cars. According to Mr. Scaring, the price of the R1T truck was announced at around 69,000 dollars, and for the R1S SUV – at 72,000 dollars.
He separately noted that these prices are not indicated for the basic versions of these new products, but for more well-equipped complete sets with large batteries, the range of which makes 482 km and a “glass panel that can change from blue to transparent”.
Further conversation showed that in their basic version, both the pickup truck and the SUV will receive batteries with enough energy to overcome at least 370 km, while the maximum figure will be 643.74 km. Mr. Scaring also said that the company is excited about their interest in their electric vehicles, and his only concern is that people will have a long time waiting for them to buy Rivian electric cars.
