Rimac realizes the popularity of crossovers, but will continue to create electric supercarsNovember 26, 2019
Despite the fact that crossovers from supercar brands are in great demand, Rimac is not going to deviate from the line of electric supercars. In the near future, the company will not produce crossovers, or other cars from more profitable segments.
The Croatian company Rimac has a full understanding of the profitability of the production of crossovers and other types of cars. However, the founder of the company, Meta Rimak, has a clear plan, and it does not include anything but electric hypercars. He noted that he fully understands other brands.
But the company is of the opinion that the popularity of super-crossovers is a temporary reaction of the market to the popularity of the SUV segment. In fact, there is no difference between a supercar and a “charged” crossover. As an everyday, working or comfortable car – both options are doubtful.
But it is worth noting that many international brands bought part of the shares of Rimac. One way or another, but the Croatian company is developing solutions for crossovers, but itself continues to work only on light supercars.
