Right-hand drive Chevrolet Corvette C8 shown in the photoFebruary 28, 2020
This version of the car was specially made for countries with left-hand traffic.
American automaker Chevrolet showed the first photos of the Corvette C8 model with the right-hand drive. This version was prepared specifically for three countries – the UK, Japan and Australia. On the territory of these states, the movement takes place on the left side and it is there that, according to Chevrolet, the presence of a right-hand drive model can help increase sales. Note that the Corvette C8 will be the first car of the brand in which the right-hand drive modification is already released from the factory – previously only modified options were met.
Representatives of the American company said that due to the design of the car, the modification process did not look so complicated.
We are talking about the fact that the engine located in the rear makes it easier to change the front axle. The first pre-orders have already appeared on cars, but it is too early to talk about successes in the long run. The novelty aroused the greatest interest in Japan, where in the first 60 hours more than 300 applications for the novelty were issued. First deliveries are expected in early spring of 2021.
