Jeep will once again add the Wagoneer SUV to its range, which will become the new flagship of the American brand.

Wagoneer will become an all-size frame SUV, originally designed with the further installation of a traction battery pack, electric motors and equipment suitable for driving on electric traction. The first Wagoneer customers will be offered a choice with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine with a working power of 295 hp. and a torque of 353 Nm or a hybrid power plant with the possibility of external charging.

Wagoneer will be launched at the FCA in Warren, a suburb of Detroit, which is currently closed for refurbishment with a total value of $ 1.5 billion. It is known that specialists have already begun construction of a new paint shop. The first commercial versions of Wagoneer are expected in 2021.

The original Jeep Wagoneer was produced from 1963 to 1991 in a practically unchanged body, but despite this, he was a pioneer in the class of comfortable universal SUVs with a five-door layout. After 15 years of phenomenal success, he passed the baton to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
