Revived Ford Bronco will not go to EuropeansAugust 15, 2020
Apparently, the American brand does not yet see prospects for its future novelty in Europe, betting on other regional markets.
Ford is not going to bring the new Bronco and Bronco Sport SUVs to Europe. The company stressed that the legendary SUV was revived for the North American market. And today the Americans are not going to change the previously outlined plans.
Let us recall that the Ford novelty, which has been talked about a lot and in detail for more than a month, managed to show itself well. It took just three weeks after the official premiere of the SUV to collect over 165,000 pre-orders for the Ford Bronco.
The reasons that prompted the brand to abandon the European direction of export were not reported. It is not excluded that the whole point is in the toughened environmental standards in this region. So, according to the new rules, the average figure for the model line here should be equal to 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer. An electrified Bronco could try its hand in Europe, but it’s too early to talk about such a modification.
Recall that in the North American market Bronco receives a 270-horsepower 2.3-liter engine, as well as a 310-horsepower V6 with a displacement of 3.7 liters. The Bronco Sport is equipped with a 1.5-liter “turbo four”, producing 181 hp. or a more efficient 2-liter 245-horsepower engine. All engines work in conjunction with a 7-speed manual transmission or 10-speed automatic transmission.
Earlier, Ford presented five concept versions of the Ford Bronco at once in honor of the 55th anniversary of the legendary SUV. All of these models showcase the wide range of SUV customization options.
