The new generation Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe and Cabriolet is the latest addition to the 911 992 lineup. And now it boasts all-wheel drive.

As with the standard 911 Carrera, the all-wheel-drive version is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine emitting 379 hp. power and 449 Nm of torque that is transmitted to the wheels by means of an 8-speed automatic transmission PDK with double clutch. The new coupe can accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.0 seconds or 3.8 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package. But the convertible due to the heavier roof has to spend 4.2 seconds on the sprint in the basic configuration or 4.0 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package

The Carrera 4 all-wheel drive system consists of a liquid-cooled clutch and a differential unit for directing power to the front axle. Porsche reports that the new components improve the precision of technology settings to transfer power to where it is most needed, which is especially useful in slippery areas.

Both models are also equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management adaptive shock absorbers as standard. The dual-mode system has the Normal and Sport settings.

There are not so many differences between the new Carrera 4 and the previously debuted 4S, and for the most part they are assembled in the rear. The lower power version gets two rectangular outlets, while the more powerful version has oval pipes. The interior is the same as the other 911 generation 992, and boasts a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment complex.

As an additional option, you can order the rear differential of the Porsche Torque Vectoring. In addition, Porsche offers a set of 20- and 21-inch wheels, which are borrowed from the 911 Carrera 4S. Customers can also order ceramic composite brakes to replace standard cast-iron brakes.

The 2020 Porsche Carrera 4 will go on sale in the United States in early 2020. Prices start at $ 106,050 per coupe and from $ 118,850 per convertible
