Fiat Strada debuted as the smallest pickup brand on the Brazilian market. The exterior was previously declassified thanks to documents published by the National Institute of Industrial Property of Brazil (INPI), but now we have received all the details about the truck.
The design of the novelty is distinguished by front optics, which is located high on the front. The radiator grill has sharp edges with flat sections above and below. The cargo platform turned out to be quite short, but it is equipped with rails. At the start of sales, only the four-door layout of the model is available, but later there will be two-door options
Strada has a length of 4480 mm, which makes it a compact pickup. For comparison, the American Ford Ranger has a length of 5354 mm. Cargo platform 1173 mm long and 1,059 mm wide. She is able to hold a load weighing 650 kg.
Under the hood of the Fiat Strada is a 1.4-liter engine that produces 88 hp. power and 123 Nm of torque. Customers can also choose a 1.3-liter unit with 109 hp. and 139 Nm. A five-speed manual transmission comes with both motors.
Inside, the truck has a strict style and space for five passengers. At the top of the front console is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with vertically located ventilation openings.
The Strada was supposed to go on sale in Brazil in early April, but Fiat temporarily closed the pick-up factory due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the truck will not appear until the second half of 2020. The cost of new items will be about 13,458 dollars. After launching in Brazil, Strada may come to Mexico as the latest version of the Ram 700 pickup.
