Revealed the main advantages of the cargo platform Jeep Gladiator 2020February 14, 2019
Jeep engineers worked hard to ensure that the Gladiator pickup was not just fun, but also functional. The start of sales of the novelty, which is based on the Wrangler SUV, is scheduled for the second half of this year.
Many looked forward to the day when the American brand Jeep introduced its new model – the Gladiator pickup, which was built on the basis of the Wrangler SUV. The day when the long-awaited novelty gets the dealerships of the brand is fast approaching.
But how useful is the cargo part of the Jeep Gladiator? On the YouTube channel Quadratec, a video appeared on which the guys who are fond of such cars in all details analyze the main functions of the American novelty. Quadratec’s Rob Jarrell, armed with a tape measure, visited a car dealership in Philadelphia to become more familiar with a pickup truck.
It turns out that the Jeep Gladiator cargo platform, which is 152.4 cm long and 124.46 cm wide, can fit up to 725 kg of payload.
At the location of the wheel arches, the width narrows to 113.03 cm.
All this is of course great, but how is the Jeep pickup different from the competition? Engineers have come up with a 3-way rear door. If the transported cargo goes beyond the platform, you can fill the door cables under the support brackets, after which this same door will be “ajar”. And thanks to special mounts, it will be possible to fix a couple of motorcycles, bicycles or something else so that they do not “walk” on the platform while driving. There is also a 115 volt outlet, which, according to the manufacturer, can withstand loads up to 400 watts. A pair of LED lamps will help to comfortably load / unload the platform even in the dark.
