Restyling sedan BMW 7 Series will be similar to the front crossover X7March 13, 2018
The Bavarian brand rolled out a restyled version of the 7 Series G11 / G12 sedan for road tests. The prototype caught the eye of photo spy who managed to make some interesting shots, which shows how the design will be developed.
If the appearance of the current 7 Series sedan can hardly be called aggressive, and many observers noted that it is the most balanced and comfortable car in the history of the brand, its restyling version will have a lot to do visually with the recently introduced conceptual crossover X7, which is in short supply brutality can hardly be blamed. At least, judging by the photographs, the radiator grilles are very similar to them. Bumpers in the restyling sedan will receive new air intakes, and the shape of the headlights and lanterns will change, which will become thinner.
Foreign automobile publications also suggest that BMW can think of something with such an aggressive grille, for example, to make it active, thus improving the aerodynamics of the sedan.
The novelty will be built on the already proven time platform CLAR, which is based on high-strength steel and aluminum. In this regard, no surprises.
Judging by the photos, the interior of the car will be significantly updated, where a new digital instrument panel will appear. A similar solution has already been shown on the concept car 8 Series.
It is expected that the version of the M760i will lose its heavy turbo-charged V12 unit.
The presentation of the restyling sedan is likely to take place either at the end of the current year, or early next year.
