Reporters spotted a prototype of the new Audi Q4 crossoverJanuary 22, 2019
It is noteworthy that in the foreign foreign editions it is mentioned that the new model can be called the Q3 Sportback, but we do not think so.
Audi is trying with all its might to get that part of the audience, who likes crossovers with a modern coupe-like body. Most recently, a presentation of the flagship crossover Q8 took place, after which, the brand’s engineers are in full swing preparing for the preparation of their “new” Q4 model.
In the same article, “Q4” is mentioned several times, so it can be said with confidence that this will be the name for the new Audi SUV.
We have already seen “spy” photos from the tests of the latter. A couple of minutes ago, we received a “fresh” batch of similar shots from northern Sweden that allow us to take a better look at what, according to some people, will be called the Q3 Sportback. However, according to official data, which was published on April 11, 2017, a new model of the company of the SUV segment will be built at a plant in Gyor, Serbia. The official statement said: “Starting from 2019, the Audi Q4 will also be produced in Gyor, which also contributes to the company’s long-term success.”
Of course, the Q3 Sportback would be as good as the new model, which in essence is the usual Q3 with a slightly more sloping roofline. This means that when camouflage ultimately disappears, the front half of the car will look almost the same as the standard Q3, and the rear end will be changed and made more “dynamic” – this is the word used in the official press release.
The presentation of the Audi Q4 can be expected this year, the “charged” version of the new product will most likely appear at the beginning of next year.
