Renewed Ford Mustang from the movie Bullit will start selling in EuropeMarch 6, 2018
The Ford company brought a special version of the Mustang under the name Bullit for Europe to the Geneva Motor Show. Production of new items will begin in June 2018. Sales of the car should begin in the second half of this year. Prices for a special Mustang will be named later.
A special version of the car is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Bullit film, starring Steve McQueen. In this film, he moved around the sports car Ford Mustang in 1968, which made this car one of the most recognizable in the world. In total, two such cars took part in the film.
The revived sport car is equipped with a 5.0-liter petrol engine V8. Capacity of the unit is 457 horsepower. In the US, the car is equipped with the same engine, but there its output was increased to 475 horsepower. The engine works in conjunction with a six-speed manual gearbox. The maximum speed is 270 km per hour.
The novelty can be purchased in two body colors – Dark Highland Green and Shadow Black. Also, Mustang Bullit received a chrome grille, a special livery, like the classic Mustang and 19-inch wheels. The interior of the sports car is equipped with a touch-sensitive instrument panel, Recaro sports seats and Bang & Olufsen audio system. Also customers are offered Brembo brakes, and the gear lever in Bullit completely copies its analogue from the film.
