Indian automaker Tata Motors continues to work hard on its new crossover, which will press the permanent leaders of the SUV segment. This is a five-seater SUV called Blackbird.
The fact that the Indian company Tata Motors has conceived to make a real revolution in the SUV segment has been reported more than once. The brand has high hopes for its new Blackbird crossover, sales of which will begin no earlier than the end of 2020 – the beginning of 2021. Among the main rivals of the car dealers are such bestsellers of their segment as Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks and others. In the Tata model lineup, a new cross will take place between the Harrier and Nexon models.
On the eve of the portal CarToq unveiled the first renders Tata Blackbird. Judging by the image that has fallen into the Network, the exterior of the new product will much repeat the appearance of the flagship cross-country Tata Harrier and the Altroz hatchback.
The novelty borrows a narrowed radiator grille from these models, which blends very effectively and harmoniously with the optics. By the way, the DRL LED strips received a curved shape. There are roll calls and the main unit headlights. The cross, also depicted on the render, receives contrast protection of the front bumper and silver roof rails.
Under the hood of a Blackbird, experts expect to see a 1.5-liter diesel, like the Nexon, but more productive. Also, a naturally aspirated gasoline engine can get into the motorcycle lineup. Transmission – automatic or manual gearbox.
