Renault will update the range of engines for MeganeApril 8, 2019
Renault is experiencing Megane, which has been updated in the middle of its life cycle. Tests are conducted in southern Europe. Interestingly, one of the test prototypes does not have an exhaust system, which indicates the likely appearance of an all-electric version, although the Megane platform was built without electrification.
The other two prototypes of the Renault Megane are equipped with an exhaust system, which, however, does not have the appearance of a production model. This hints that the manufacturer is testing new engines during the testing process.
Tighter emission standards led Renault to install new engines before upgrading. Among them is a 1.7-liter diesel engine, as well as a 1.3-liter TCe, which will replace the former 1.2-liter unit. Was finalized and 1.5-liter dCi.
Needs updating and Renault Megane GT. For him, the 1.6-liter engine will be replaced by a 1.8-liter, while the power will increase by 20 hp Renault will also offer a 2.0-liter diesel engine, the characteristics of which are not yet known. A hybrid version is expected, as Renault promised that each model will have an electrified version.
In terms of design, the front and rear bumpers were updated, the headlights were slightly modified. Trim will be upgraded. Will offer new materials finishing. There will be smartphone integration technologies.
