Renault will leave the old Duster with an updated appearanceMarch 11, 2019
On the Internet, “fresh” spy images from the testing of the first-generation upgraded Renault Duster crossover appeared. It is planned that a public demonstration of this novelty will be organized in 2020.
Before the presentation, there is still a lot of time; therefore, the SUV that has fallen into the camera lenses is naturally covered with a thick camouflage. At the moment, it is already known that the upgraded Duster received rethought numbers and a different grille, designed in the style of the “Duster” of a new generation. Changed and “filling” headlights – now daytime running lights supplemented with stripes of LEDs. It is expected that SUV presented a converted hood that meets the new safety standards.
First of all, the model was created for the Indian car market. The interior of the modernized cross-country will also be finalized. A more modern multimedia system will appear here. Probably, the arsenal of the original configuration will complement the two airbags and parking assistant.
Plus, the Duster of the previous generation will be left without the original diesel unit with a working volume of 1.5 liters and an output of 85 horsepower. The developers have left a liter and a half 106-horsepower engine, as well as a diesel engine, squeezing 110 “horsepower.” It is likely that the gasoline unit will work together with a five-step “mechanics” or a variator, and a diesel one will work with six-gauge manual and robotic gearboxes. The all-wheel drive system will be available exclusively variations with a power of 110 horsepower.
It is expected that the novelty will appear on the Indian market in the spring of 2020. Its appearance is necessary, since the global demand for old SUV has been falling since last year.
Meanwhile, the Renault concern is testing the hybrid version of the Captur 2020 SUV model year.
