Renault revived Renault 4 beach cabriolet
July 23, 2019Retro convertible, intended for beach lovers, received an unexpected continuation in the form of an electric convertible with a motor from Renault Twizy.
In honor of the tenth jubilee festival 4L International, dedicated to the cult model Renault 4, the French brand created an electric concept car, called e-Plein Air. For its basis, the automaker took a special version of the Renault 4 convertible, released at one time a very limited edition – only 600 cars. It was created specifically for beach lovers.
It is known that the units of Renault Classic and Renault Design, as well as the restoration workshop Melun Retro Design, specializing in the restoration of Renault, Alpine, Citroen and Peugeot cars, have worked on the concept. Auto received a more modern design and an electric motor from Renault Twizy.
Renault e-Plein Air was equipped with a closed white plastic grille, and the interior was decorated using two shades: for example, white and sky blue. The trunk was modified: now there is a place for a battery or an electric motor. There is also a wicker white basket, fixed with leather straps. The dynamic characteristics of new items are kept secret.
Meanwhile, a luxury receiver appeared at the Toyota Alphard minivan. This is a hybrid Toyota Vellfire, which will be offered to Indian motorists.
