Renault Megane RS received an updateSeptember 4, 2019
The third-generation Renault Megane RS model debuted just two years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show, so it’s a little surprising to see a prototype version with an update undergoing testing.
On the prototype, only small changes are visible that relate to the graphics of headlights and taillights. Design changes are most obvious from the rear, where the shape of the lamps remains the same, but their internal structure takes on a more modern appearance. Taillights with a red top and a thin white stripe at the bottom probably include consecutive turn signals. As for the headlights, they also retain their shape, but receive an updated light signature. In addition to lights and new two-tone alloys, there are no other changes on the outside of the updated Renault Megane RS.
Renault is expected to make some improvements to the interior. This is especially true for high-quality materials for decoration. Updated Megane RS should receive the latest multimedia system R-Link, as well as a new driver assistance package. Engine unchanged 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline with a power of 280 hp for the base model and 300 hp for versions of Trophy and Trophy-R. The 6-speed manual and EDC dual-clutch transmissions also remain unchanged.
